ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Susie Warner, the founder of Happy Baby Consultancy.

Susie (Susan) Warner of Happy Baby Consultancy teaching a group of expectant parents

I am originally from Belfast in Northern Ireland (yes the accent is still hanging around!) but I have lived on the north side of Brisbane for 20 years. I have two amazing children who are just about independent adults, which allows me  more time to expand on my passion of working with families around all aspects of parenting, especially sleep.

I have always known this is my area of passion. I’ve been working with children and families ever since I arrived in Australia, including establishing and running a daycare centre for 8 years. It quickly became very clear to me that parents were struggling with the simple basics of parenting and it was during this time that the concept of Happy Baby Consultancy was born. I have now been running HBC and supporting families for over 12 years.

In 2017 I commenced a Bachelor of Child and Family Studies, and topped my class with a thesis on SIDS guidelines and neural development. It is truly fascinating stuff and a huge passion of mine. Feel free to ask any questions!

Over the last 20 years I have worked with thousands of families and undertaken extensive study (see education summary below), and the common theme is that parenting has become much more complicated than it should be! Parents are bombarded with so much conflicting information and it is impossible to know what is right, wrong or otherwise. Parents are exhausted and confused, and often their babies are too!

“My goal is to help you sift through the parenting minefield and give straightforward, practical and common sense information and advice that each and every baby needs to thrive.”

With the exception of significant health issues, babies come into the world with the natural ability to sleep, which is critical to their long-term neural development and survival. As parents, we can either nurture or hinder this biological ability by our behaviours. I often say that I don’t train babies; I offer the information and advice parents need to support their babies to do what they are biologically capable of, especially around sleeping. Baby and toddler sleep really seems to be the area parents struggle with most, but I am also able to help families with feeding and behaviour with children through to 8 years old.

I would love the opportunity to assist your family to gain a happy, contented, sleeping child who is going to grow up to be the best they can be. Please take a look at my packages, or contact me to book your consultation.
